The NEURODIVERGENT FIRST AIDTM team consists of accredited clinicians with relevant backgrounds, experience and formal qualifications who work as a team to deliver our Neuordivergent First Aid courses.
Douglas Crowther
Doug is a Neurodivergent trainer, educator, and therapist with a passion for equipping individuals and communities with practical skills to support neurodivergent people. Drawing on his lived experience as a neurodivergent individual, as well as his clinical expertise as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Doug has a deep understanding of the systemic and personal barriers that neurodivergent people face.
Viviane Angelina de Oliveira
Viviane is a highly experienced counsellor and equine therapist who serves as a vital collaborator in the design and delivery of Neurodivergent First Aid courses. Her work is informed by over two decades of professional experience and a personal journey as the mother of neurodivergent children.

He reframes his extensive experience in trauma, loss, and mental health into a compassionate, skills-based approach, providing participants with the tools to offer truly effective and neurodiversity-affirming support. Doug’s unique background, including a Master of Social Work, an MBA in Strategy, and training in Narrative Therapy, allows him to deliver training that is not only clinically informed and deeply empathetic, but also strategic and clear.
Viviane Angelina de Oliveira

Originally trained as a psychologist in Brazil, Viviane has a rare depth of experience in mental health and community work. She brings to her practice a profound understanding of trauma, having worked with extremely violent and traumatised children, youths, and adults in one of the world's most challenging environments.
Now based in Australia, Viviane applies this wealth of expertise as a Neurodiverse-friendly and trauma-informed clinician. She has a deep passion for working with migrants, Aboriginal people, and individuals and families navigating struggles with sexual assault, domestic violence, and substance usage. All of these insights are woven into her work with neurodivergent people, ensuring that the training she helps provide is both comprehensive and deeply compassionate.
